Common Raven - (Corvus corax) Alternately soars and flaps like a hawk, flapping less and soaring more. Utters a hoarse, croaking kraak and a variety of other notes. As well as a hollow, knocking sound and a melodies kloo-klok, usually in flight.
The Raven is an intelligent bird. My brother in law once saw a Raven hoe chucking french fries as well as a pair sliding down a snowy bank only to fly up and do it again. Sliding on with their backs with wings tucked in.
This fungus/artist conk is burned with a razortip burner. It is coated on the bottom with a non toxic glue, the surface and back coated with a gel stain to preserve the burning. The inside is cork like layers, it is not recommended for outdoors.
