Burning on hemlock fungus
Fungus are such a creative individual unique canvas to work with. They grow only on dead trees, even so they are removed with care so the tree can carry on as a 'nurse tree' where new life forms including trees, fungus, bushes and a variety of plants all begin to grow.
This particular fungus is not just three dimensional but has three surfaces all which have been incorporated into the design.
Hummingbirds are welcome visitors to our home and with gardens and flowers they return every year giving me the opportunity to experience these amazing tiny birds up close and personal.
