Interested and Injured - two ideas taken from encounters with hummingbirds this summer.
Found an injured one sitting in the wheelbarrow in the back yard and Interested is interesting as the hummingbirds come right up to my face while we are in the garden. Amazing little creatures and so beautiful.
The two fungus / artist conks used ad canvas turned out to be almost identical making it easy to see a pair. I first had only the hummingbirds and small flowers, as I studied them I realized they were something in my minds eye and having a fascination with eyes it felt like the appropriate back/foreground to add.
